Dr. Jordan Katz is an optometrist at DePoe Eye Center who is passionate about providing personalized eye care while building meaningful relationships with every patient he serves. He believes the best care begins with listening, understanding each patient's unique needs, and creating an experience where people feel comfortable, valued, and confident in their eye health.
An Atlanta native who grew up in Marietta, Dr. Katz is excited to be back home in Georgia after spending several years in Philadelphia completing his education and clinical training. He earned his undergraduate degree from Kennesaw State University before receiving his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Drexel University.
Dr. Katz's passion for optometry began long before optometry school while working at Bruder Healthcare. There, he had the opportunity to learn from eye care professionals across the country, inspiring him to pursue a career dedicated to helping patients protect their vision and improve their quality of life.
Throughout optometry school, Dr. Katz sought opportunities to serve communities in need. As a member of Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (SVOSH), he traveled to Jamaica to provide eye care to underserved populations, an experience that reinforced the life-changing impact accessible vision care can have. During his clinical training, he also completed a rotation at the Durham VA, where he was honored to care for America's veterans.
Dr. Katz was drawn to DePoe Eye Center because of its patient-first philosophy, welcoming culture, and commitment to combining advanced technology with compassionate care. He looks forward to building lasting relationships with his patients and becoming an active part of the communities he serves.
Outside the office, Dr. Katz enjoys golfing, discovering new restaurants, skiing, and cheering on Alabama football and the Atlanta Falcons. He loves trying new experiences, spending time outdoors, and embracing every opportunity to explore something different.
