Dr. Bill Morrison is a third-generation optometrist, having followed in the footsteps of his grandfather, who started in 1915, his dad in 1948, and then he in 1975, resulting in over 100+ years of continuous eyecare from his family to their community. He grew up in Gainesville, graduated from Ga. Tech served in the military as a Naval Officer on 2 aircraft carriers during the Vietnam Conflict and received his Doctorate from Southern College of Optometry. He has served on the Georgia State Board of Optometry and is a 4-time past President of the NEGA Optometry Association.
Dr. Morrison and his wife, Laurie, have 5 children and 10 grandchildren. They live on Lake Lanier, where they enjoy pontooning, fishing, and watching the kids wakeboard and kneeboard. They are active in their church, Free Chapel in Gainesville.
